My first 10,000 Naira I made online was not from Yahoo or any fake platform. It was from writing. I was in my second year in school, and I had no money for handouts. My roommate showed me a writing platform similar to LODPOST.

Here is exactly how I did it, step by step.

 Step 1: I chose a simple topic I knew.*

I did not try to write about crypto or big grammar. I wrote about "How I Cook Indomie With 1,000 Naira in School Hostel". That is something every student knows. I wrote 300 words. Simple English. No big grammar.

Step 2: I posted it and shared it everywhere.

After posting, I did not just wait. I shared the link to my WhatsApp status, my course group, and three Facebook groups for Nigerian students. I said "I wrote how I manage food with 1k, check it out if you are a student". About 200 people clicked it the first day.

Step 3: I replied to every comment.

People commented "This is helpful" or "You forgot to add egg". I replied to all of them. When you reply, the platform pushes your article to more people. That second day, I got 400 more views.

Step 4: I wrote a second article the next day.

I saw that people liked student content, so I wrote "5 Cheap Foods Every Nigerian Student Eats During Exam Period". That one performed better than the first. By the end of that week, my dashboard showed I had made over 12,000 Naira equivalent.

When I withdrew the first 10,000 Naira, I used it to buy a power bank and pay for my departmental dues. It was small money but it proved that it is possible.

If you are a student reading this, you do not need to wait until you graduate. Start with one article about your own life in school. Your experience is valuable to someone else.
