You do not need 100,000 Naira to start a business in Nigeria. I started my own journey with just my phone, free WiFi from a neighbor, and a lot of consistency. If you are broke but you have data and time, these three ideas work.

 1. Article Writing on LODPOST and Similar Platforms.

This is what I am doing now. You write simple articles like this one, about 250 to 400 words. You post it, people read it, and you earn based on views. You do not need to pay to join. What you need is to write in simple English that people understand. Start with topics you know: how you save money, how you cook cheap food, how you manage life in your city. I write two articles per week and that gives me small money for data.

2. Facebook Page Monetization and Content Repurposing

Many people watch Facebook reels every day. You can create a simple Facebook page about one topic: maybe daily market prices in Port Harcourt, or funny student stories, or cheap food recipes. You post short videos using your phone. Once you grow, you can earn from stars, ads, and also drive traffic to your LODPOST articles. This was how I got my first 500 followers. No money needed, just your phone camera.

 3. WhatsApp TV and Information Reselling.

This one is underrated. Start a WhatsApp Status TV where you post daily updates: maybe job vacancies, cheap data deals, or JAMB updates for students. People will pay 500 to 1,000 Naira to advertise on your status once you have many viewers. I know someone in Rivers State who started with 50 contacts and now has over 1,500 status viewers. He charges 1,000 per advert and does 5 adverts per week. That is 5,000 Naira weekly with zero capital.

The secret for all three is not capital, it is consistency. Do it for 30 days without stopping. Most people quit after 5 days.
