"Why he did not give all cash"
-----
My husband and I are both forty two years old.
He earns ninety eight thousand dollars a month.
My salary is twenty five thousand dollars a month
House mortgage twenty five thousand dollars → he pays
Household expenditure forty seven thousand dollars → basically he pays
Sometimes I am soft-hearted and will post ten thousand dollars
Include:
He has a balance of about twenty three thousand dollars per month
I have twenty five thousand dollars left, and with the tip, I have fifteen thousand dollars left.
Most of the Lunar New Year gifts and red envelopes are pay by or pay from him.
No gifts on Valentine's Day, just cash.
It sounds stable, normal.
But what I can not stand the most is:
He refused to give the remaining twenty three thousand dollars to me for safe keeping.
I told him:
Your company cafeteria has ten percent discount, but you do not spend much at work.
I give you two hundred dollars a day, is that enough?
Dinner is mostly takeaway, occasionally I cook, so you even do not have to spend a lot of money.
My husband came back with one sentence:
“I have to spend some amount of money outside, for gatherings, stocks, turnover.
Do not always think about taking all my money to manage. '
I said: I am not going to manage your money.
I just want savings, security at home.
My husband said: Security does not depend on you holding my money.
It gets stuck when it comes to this.
My husband was half uncompromising, and when I spoke again it became a quarrel.
What stings me the most is-
Nine out of ten of the husbands of my friends pay all amount of their salaries to their own wives or spouses.
I am not going to follow the trend.
But at least willing to pay means trust, means "I will support this family with you."
And me?
Once the money is submitted,
He guarded me like a thief.
Like I am an outsider.
It is like we are not husband and wife.
Just roommates who pay for housing together and eat together.
I could not help but think:
He is sticking to the twenty three thousand dollars. Is there anything he does not really want me to know?
Does it leave an "activity fund"?
Even... is there a mistress?
I know that sounds bad.
But in Hong Kong everything is expensive, everything costs money.
I do not covet his money.
I am just afraid that one day something will happen at home.
I realized that I did not know anything about finance and could not help anything.
I am really confused now.
A man earns nearly one hundred thousand dollars a month.
Resolutely refused to hand over the remaining money to his wife for safe keeping.
Is this normal?
Or does my husband really not trust me at all and my husband does not consider me one of his own?
