How would you feel if it were your aeroplane that has someone in passenger list that really steals people belongings hoping that nobody can even be able to notice his or her own act in the aeroplane when he or she stole things from other passengers in the same flight ?
On September 2nd, I flew back to Hong Kong on Swiss Airlines and encountered a plane rat incident. Eight people were "invited" off the plane, so it's possible there were two separate incidents.
We landed at around 4:30 PM. Passengers immediately went to collect their luggage, but were stopped by flight attendants. They were then delayed in collecting their luggage.
At Around 5:00 PM, police boarded the plane, reportedly to check the luggage. They passed my seat (row 33) and went to row 35. The police clearly targeted and arrested a Mandarin-speaking person. The arrested person did not struggle or resist. The police took them off the plane.
Flight attendants then asked passengers to check their luggage. People near me were also affected, losing credit cards, passports, cash, cameras, etc. I, however, suffered no loss. (The plane rats seemed to realize I was rather poor, which was quite embarrassing.) The police then went back and forth, taking away several more Mandarin-speaking individuals. They still didn't struggle or resist.
At Around 6:30 pm, the police boarded the plane again, clearly going to several designated seats, knowing the individuals were from Hong Kong, and taking away four or five people from different locations.
The two groups were most likely involved in two different incidents.
The Mandarin-speaking representatives were probably accomplices; their method was to scatter passengers' credit cards, passports, cash, and cameras in different locations without immediately taking them, so their arrests weren't due to being caught red-handed.
The Cantonese-speaking representatives were mostly from Hong Kong; they seemed like complete strangers, and showed no anxiety or fear when asked to disembark. I later asked flight attendants from other airlines, and they said these people might have been denied entry and deported on the same flight.
The whole incident lasted over two hours, during which I couldn't even urinate. I finally understood what "causing inconvenience" meant.
do not even risk your own life by stealing things on any plane flight because it does not only disrupt your own future but it cause troubles to other passengers who are at the same flight or plane too when you got found stealing any one other passenger things on the flight.
