Let’s talk about historic footballer Ronaldinho — O Bruxo, The Wizard. If Ronaldo is about goals and Yamal is about future, Ronaldinho is about pure joy.

1. BACKGROUND & FROM A POOR HOME:

Ronaldinho full name na Ronaldo de Assis Moreira, born March 21, 1980 in Porto Alegre, Brazil. He also came from poor background — his father was a shipyard worker who died when Ronaldinho was 8, his mother sold cosmetics to survive. He grew up playing futsal in the streets. Just like Ronaldo from Madeira, his story na from nothing to everything.

2. GOALS:

Not a 900 goals striker like Ronaldo, but he scored when it mattered. 205 league goals in 511 games, 70 goals for Barcelona in 145 games, 33 goals for Brazil in 97 caps. His goals were art — free-kick vs England in 2002 World Cup quarter-final from 35 yards, chip vs Real Madrid, bicycle vs Villarreal.

3. SHOT:

His shot was different — no power like Ronaldo’s knuckleball, but pure placement and magic. Free-kicks, no-look shots, toe-poke, outside foot. He could score without looking at goal. Ronaldinho’s shot na trick, Ronaldo’s na rocket.

4. HEIGHT:

Ronaldinho is 1.82m (6ft 0in) — taller than Yamal (1.80m) but shorter than Ronaldo (1.87m). That height helped him shield ball, but he didn’t need header like Ronaldo — his feet were his weapon.

5. FANS:

Before Instagram followers, Ronaldinho had real fans. In 2005, Real Madrid fans inside Santiago Bernabeu stood up to clap for him after he destroyed them 3-0. Only him and Maradona have gotten standing ovation there. No social media needed — every child in the world wanted his smile and his boots. Today Ronaldo has 630M followers, but Ronaldinho made people fall in love with football without phone.

6. CHARISMA:

This is where he is the GOAT. Always smiling, always dancing, always playing like pikin for street. He taught Messi how to be happy on pitch. The buck teeth smile, long hair, that joy — you can’t hate Ronaldinho. Ronaldo has Siuuu and swagger, Yamal is calm, but Ronaldinho had happiness. That is why they still call him O Bruxo.

CONCLUSION: I rate this pic 10/10. If you never watched Ronaldinho live, you missed the reason many of us started watching football. He is the only player to win everything — World Cup 2002, Champions League 2006, Ballon d’Or 2005, Copa America 1999, Confederations Cup 2005, Copa Libertadores 2013. Ronaldo is the machine, Yamal is the future, but Ronaldinho is the MAGIC.

Do you agree? Is Ronaldinho the most entertaining ever?
