My fiancée

I'm 31, and my girlfriend is 34.

We have been dating together for three years.

We were both aiming for marriage when we dated.

Recently, I proposed, and she accepted.

I thought that my happiness was finally here.

But then, a completely unknown number contacted me.

The first thing they sent was tons of photos and chat logs.

All evidence of my girlfriend's past as a concubine or a mistress.

There were photos of her naked,

with her former male boss.

And explicit conversations about her clinging to him, so explicit that I could not bear to read them.

The other person accused my girlfriend of actively pursuing her former boss for work.

At first, I did not believe it at all.

The girlfriend I know is clearly a good woman.

She is a Christian and a university lecturer.

We both come from middle-class families; we are a perfect match.

She is indeed a little vain, but I have never doubted her character.

I have always believed she is not the kind of person who is promiscuous.

I immediately asked the unknown number:

"Who are you? What is your purpose?"

I was immediately blocked.

For the next few days, I was completely disoriented.

After much deliberation, I decided to confront my girlfriend.

At first, she was incredibly adamant, refusing to admit anything.

She even yelled at me, accusing me of not trusting her.

I was heartbroken and gave her the silent treatment for several days.

Finally, she cried and admitted it.

She kept making excuses: "I was young and naive back then..." She said her male boss was very supportive of her at work, and they naturally started an affair.

She repeatedly emphasized that she had no intention of breaking up someone else's marriage.

Their relationship lasted for two whole years.

It ended when she found a better job and left.

I was incredibly conflicted and completely confused.

It's not that I did not love her.

Overall, our relationship over the past three years has been okay.

Both sets of parents have met and were very satisfied.

I am not religious, and I do not  consider myself a perfectionist when it comes to relationships.

My girlfriend had a rich dating history before we started dating,

but I did not mind at all.

The problem is, this is not an ordinary relationship!

Her actual personality is so different from what I imagined.

I can not forget how she initially insisted on her innocence and purity.

This completely clashes with my values!

I am also terrified that my parents and relatives will find out.

I told her I needed time to calm down.

But the next day, she went crazy.

She called me incessantly, clung to me, and left countless messages.

I really did not want to see or listen to them.

I just felt incredibly annoyed, so annoyed it gave me a headache!

Honestly, I had considered finding reasons to accept her.

But after her outburst, all those thoughts vanished.

I gradually lost the motivation to fight for her and spend my life with her.

Finally, I broke up with her.

She completely exploded, beating me up and calling me a jerk.

She said I was selfish and only thought of myself.

She even said that if I loved her enough, I should not be dwelling on her past.

I'm speechless…

Excuse me, what normal man would want to start a family with a woman who has been a concubine or a mistress, unless there are special circumstances?

This is not about dwelling on the past; this is about boundaries!

Now, I do not want to care about anything anymore.

I am just incredibly frustrated about how to explain this to my parents…

My parents actually quite liked her.

If I tell them the truth, will they accept it?

If I do not tell them, how can I cover up this lie…?
