Living in Lagos is expensive. Transport, data, food, everything high. I thought I could never save money until I tried this simple sharing method.

I use 50-30-20 rule. It is very simple.

50% for Needs: I use 50% of my money for important things like rent, transport, food and data. For example if you earn N60k, you use N30k for these.

30% for Wants: I use 30% for enjoyment like shawarma, Netflix, betting or flexing with friends. This is N18k from N60k. If you remove enjoyment totally you will feel depressed.

20% for Savings: I force myself to save 20% first before I spend anything. Once salary enter, I remove N12k immediately and put for my Kuda savings or PiggyVest. I lock am so I no go touch am.

Before I was saving zero. Now I save N10k to N12k every month.

The secret is to remove savings FIRST, not last. If you wait till month end, nothing will remain.

I started 4 months ago and I don save N48k now. It is not much but e better pass zero.

Try it this month and see. How do you save in this Lagos? Comment your own method below.
