              Healthy Eating

Healthy eating means choosing foods that give our bodies the nutrients we need to grow strong and stay active. Foods like fruits, vegetables, grains, and protein help our brain work well, our bones become strong, and our body fight off sickness. Drinking clean water is also part of healthy eating because water keeps our body hydrated and helps with digestion. When we eat a balanced diet, we have more energy to play, study, and learn in school.

Eating unhealthy foods too often can make us feel tired, weak, and sick. Foods high in sugar, too much salt, and fried snacks may taste good, but they do not give our body the right nutrients. If we eat only junk food, we may gain weight and find it hard to concentrate in class. That is why it is important to limit sweets, fizzy drinks, and processed snacks, and replace them with healthier choices like bananas, oranges, carrots, and homemade meals.

To practice healthy eating, we should eat at regular times, wash our hands before meals, and chew our food slowly. Parents and teachers can help by preparing balanced meals that include different food groups. When we make healthy eating a habit from childhood, we build a strong foundation for a healthy life. Eating well today helps us become strong and healthy adults tomorrow.
