Cancer is not like “just catching a cold”
-----
I’ve shared that I am currently No Evidence of Disease (NED).
And while that is incredible news…
It does not mean cured.
This is actually my second time being NED. The first was 2021 and I had 4.5 years without cancer….or so I thought…because it was silently and secretly growing.
The cancer came back once before, which means I know firsthand that it can come back again.
Although this time, I didn’t just attack the cancer…
I biohacked my body to operate better, healthier, with more defences.
Cancer isn’t like catching a cold.
It’s not some outside invader that comes into your body, causes problems, and then leaves forever once it’s gone.
Cancer is your own cells.
For whatever reason, those cells stopped following the normal rules. They found a new pathway. They learned a different behavior.
And because those pathways existed once, I believe they can exist again.
There’s also growing research around cancer stem cells…cells that can survive treatment, remain dormant for long periods of time, and potentially contribute to recurrence later.
While treatment can eliminate detectable disease, some of these cells may persist below the level we can currently measure.
That’s why diligence doesn’t stop when treatment ends.
In many ways, the work simply changes.
The same discipline that got me here is the discipline I intend to maintain for the rest of my life.
That means continuing to prioritize:
✔️ My diet
✔️ Exercise
✔️ Red light therapy
✔️ Sleep and recovery
✔️ Supplementation
✔️ Stress management
✔️ Regular testing and monitoring
✔️ The habits that helped me win
Will I ever drink alcohol again?
Probably not.
Will I eat sugar?
Probably not.
And whenever I say that, someone inevitably asks…
“Is that really living?”
My answer is simple.
Absolutely.
Because my life isn’t defined by what I eat or what I drink. It’s not about “consuming”…
It’s about producing.
My life is defined by the experiences I create.
The people I love.
The memories I make.
The impact I have.
The businesses I build.
The lives I touch.
The adventures I experience.
The laughter.
The purpose.
The gratitude.
If giving up a few things means I get more time to experience all of that…
Then that’s not sacrifice.
That’s an easy trade.
Being NED is not the finish line.
It’s an opportunity.
An opportunity to keep showing up for myself every single day.
To stay grateful.
To stay disciplined.
To stay intentional.
And to make the most of every day I’ve been given❤️
**today I’m going out on a clients yacht and yesterday I got to spend time with my besties new baby….this is living👏🏻🎉
