History was made yesterday in Saudi Arabia.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was granted a rare and special honor to enter and pray inside the Holy Ka'abah in Mecca. This is the most sacred place in Islam located at the center of Masjid al-Haram.
Only few world leaders and special guests of the King of Saudi Arabia are allowed to enter the Ka'abah. President Tinubu was personally invited by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
According to reports, Sheikh Dahlulah Muthawal, the keeper of the Ka'abah, led President Tinubu inside.
Inside the Ka'abah, Tinubu offered prayers of gratitude to Almighty Allah for the privilege of serving Nigeria and prayed for peace, prosperity, and a better future for all Nigerians, especially the youth.
He said his administration is focused on building a prosperous nation and fulfilling the aspirations of Nigerians.
The news has gone viral in Nigeria with many Muslims calling it a spiritual blessing for the country. Many are sharing prayers and saying this shows God is with Nigeria.
This visit happened during Tinubu's Umrah trip to Saudi Arabia.
Political experts also say this trip will strengthen Nigeria's relationship with Saudi Arabia and attract more investment.
Vice President Shettima also used the opportunity to call on Nigerians to support Tinubu's renewal in 2027.
