According to the IEBC whistleblower, the August 2022 presidential election results announced by the chairman were cooked and did not reflect the will of the majority of Kenyan voters.The whistleblower who identifies himself and as an IEBC employee who was at the centre of administration of of the 2022 election results pointed out that there was a team of set up in the "back office" whose role was to received the results transmitted from the polling station,alter the result and upload doctored results to the IEBC public portal.
