Studying Pharmacy at University of Ilorin is not easy. Every day we have lectures, practicals, and assignments. At first, I used to feel overwhelmed, but I have learned small tricks that help me manage.

First, I read early in the morning. I wake up by 4:30am and read for two hours before lectures start. Morning reading helps me remember better because everywhere is quiet and there is no distraction from friends or hostel noise.

Second, I don't read everything at once. I break my courses into small parts. For example, instead of reading the whole anatomy textbook in one day, I read one chapter daily and revise it the next morning. This method helps me not forget quickly and reduces exam tension.

Third, I make my own short notes. After each lecture, I write 5 important points in my notebook in my own words. During exam period, I don't need to read the big textbook again, I just read my short notes which are faster and easier to understand.

Fourth, I use group reading once a week. On Saturdays, I and two of my friends from pharmacy department sit together and explain difficult topics to each other. When you teach someone, you understand better and remember longer. We also share past questions and solve them together as a team.

Fifth, I take care of my health. I sleep 6 hours daily, drink enough water, and eat properly. I don't do all-night reading every day because it makes me tired, sick, and unable to concentrate in class the next day. Rest is also part of studying.

Lastly, I stay positive and pray. I don't compare myself with other students who seem to read more than me. Everyone has different reading speed and understanding level.

Pharmacy is hard but if you plan your time well, stay consistent, and read small every day, you will enjoy it and pass with good grades. Don't give up on yourself,

keep pushing.
