In one of my previous articles, I showed how to get ghostwriting clients without Fiverr and Upwork. That method still works. This article is for you if you DO want to use Fiverr. You can use both methods — outside Fiverr and inside Fiverr.

Many beginners think you need a degree to start ghostwriting. I thought the same. But I made my first $100 on Fiverr without any experience, without showing my face, and without a laptop. I used only my phone.

Here is exactly how I did it step by step.

1. I Chose One Simple Niche

I did not write everything. At first I tried to write everything — health, finance, romance. No client trusted me because I looked confused. Then I chose one niche: Short eBooks for Amazon KDP. Many people on Fiverr want someone to write 2,000-word eBooks about self-help, money, and health. These topics are easy to research on Google and YouTube. You don't need to be an expert, you just need to be able to explain things in simple English. When you pick one niche, Fiverr starts to show your gig to the right people.

2. I Created 3 Gig Samples With My Phone

Instead of waiting for a client, I wrote 3 samples myself. I did not have a laptop, so I used Google Docs on my phone.

- "5 Morning Habits of Rich People" (500 words)

- "How to Stop Overthinking" (700 words)

- "Simple Side Hustles for Students" (800 words)

I made them into PDFs and uploaded them as my portfolio. Clients trust you more when they see samples. They don't ask for degree, they ask "Can you write like this?" My samples answered that question.

3. My First Client Came Because My Price Was Low

I set my first gig at $10 for 1,000 words. Very cheap. Many ghostwriters charge $50, but I wanted reviews first, not money. I knew the first review is the hardest. Within 5 days, a client from the US ordered. He wanted a 1,500-word eBook about productivity for busy moms. I was scared, but I accepted. I delivered in 2 days and he loved it because I used simple words, not big grammar.

4. How I Wrote Without Plagiarism

This is very important. I did not copy. I used Google to research 3 articles about productivity, read them carefully, closed all the tabs, and wrote in my own words what I remembered. Then I used Grammarly free version to check my grammar and spelling. I also used Duplichecker free to check plagiarism. This is real ghostwriting — not copying. Clients will report you if you copy.

What I Learned After My First $100

You don't need perfect English. You need to be clear, simple, and deliver on time. My first client gave me 5 stars and ordered again for $25, then $40. That's how my $10 became $100 in 2 weeks. I did 1 order of $10, 1 order of $25, 1 order of $25, and 1 order of $40.

If you are a student in Nigeria or anywhere with a phone, you can start today. Don't wait for a laptop. Pick one niche, write 3 samples this weekend, price low for your first 2 clients. After you get 2 five-star reviews, increase your price to $30 for 1,000 words. That is how you grow.

Ghostwriting is not about big grammar. It is about helping busy people write what they don't have time to write. Start small, be honest, and stay consistent.
