Morenikeji, a 42-year-old woman in Lagos, invested her money in several properties but registered them under the name of an unborn child, following her husband Bayo’s advice. After Bayo’s sudden death, a woman surfaced with two children, one carrying the same name used on the properties. His family is now claiming ownership. Legally, the children have strong claims, but since Morenikeji funded everything, she can challenge in court under fraudulent misrepresentation and constructive trust. With strong evidence and legal action, she still has a chance to recover her investments.
