This is to report to you that a two-storey building under construction collapsed early Friday morning on Akinola Street, near Fadeyi Bus Stop, off Ikorodu Road, Lagos State, leaving one person d£ad.
Reports indicate that three people, suspected to be construction workers, were rescued alive by emergency responders, while a body was recovered from the rubble.
The rescued victims received immediate pre-hospital medical care before being transported to a hospital for further treatment.
Search and rescue operations are ongoing to determine whether more people are trapped beneath the debris.
Emergency responders at the scene include the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) Response Team, LRU paramedics, the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS), and officers of the Nigeria Police Force from the Alagbon Division.
