A recent report has identified the top 10 most stressful countries in Africa for 2024, with Nigeria placed 33rd on the continent.

High stress levels in Africa are largely due to economic difficulties, political unrest, and social issues.

CEOWORLD magazine's report lists the most stressed countries worldwide, with many African countries featuring prominently.

The study analyzed 211 countries and territories based on four categories: work-related stress, financial stress, family-related stress, and health and safety stress. It provides insights into global mental health, indicating which countries excel and which need improvement.

South Sudan tops the list as the most stressful country in Africa with a stress score of 45.68, followed by Burundi with 45.8, and the Central African Republic with 46.07.

In 2023, major global stressors included financial concerns, economic conditions, and health issues, as noted by the CEOWORLD report.

This analysis highlights areas needing mental health support and identifies countries effectively managing stress among their populations.
