This is a brief explanation about the structure of the Solar System and our world, Earth:

1. We know that the universe is extremely vast, so much so that it is said no imagination can picture its end, with countless wonders contained in it. Everything we see, from planets, stars, to outer space, are all within the universe. Some call it _Sararin Subahana_ and in English _Universe_, but most experts call it _Kaunu_ in Hausa.

2. Within the universe there are billions of large clusters of stars where stars reside, which are basically like their homes. If we look up at the night sky, the stars we see are those in our own star cluster called the Milky Way, which is one out of billions. Even so, within the Milky Way there are billions of stars.

3. The Solar System is the system of the sun’s light. It is arranged in the middle of the Milky Way star cluster, spread out like a mat — with the sun at its center, and surrounding it are 8 planets including our Earth. Each planet has its own path _orbit_ where they go around the sun.

4. The Earth goes around the sun in 365 days, which is one year, while the moon goes around the Earth in 28 days, which is one month.

5. Between the sun and the planets there is a powerful force that prevents them from straying from their paths _orbit_, just as there is between the moon and the Earth, so that it cannot break away.

6. Earth is the third in the sequence of planets, Mercury is the first — closest to the sun, while Jupiter is the largest of all the planets. Some planets have no moon, while others have more than one.

7. The distance between Earth and the sun is 150 million kilometers, while between Earth and the moon it is 384,000 kilometers.

8. Structurally, the Solar System which is in the Milky Way star cluster goes around it in 230 million years, while Earth goes around the sun in 365 days, and our moon goes around Earth in 28 days.

9. Besides orbiting the sun, Earth also rotates in 24 hours, which is one day. On other planets it exceeds that.

10. The word _Satellite_ means something that floats in space; _Natural Satellite_ refers to things like the moon, planets, etc.; _Artificial Satellite_ is a man-made satellite that experts launch to take pictures or conduct research.

*Note:* Small corrections for scientific accuracy:

1. The moon orbits Earth in about *27.3 to 29.5 days*, not exactly 28.

2. The Solar System is not exactly "in the middle" of the Milky Way — we’re about 26,000 light-years from the center.

3. The "powerful substance" in point 5 is *gravity
