I want to agree with Pope Francis on his sentiments about the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine and very soon China and Taiwan. Christians are having the attitude of the bible commands us not to murder hence they sit on the fence observing as neighbours kill each other. They put prayers as their only option.
But have we christians asked if that is what God wants? Do you think God will reward us handsomely after neighbours have killed themselves while we had the chance to intervene?
Let's look at the bible history. God gave the Israelites territory but they had to expand and protect it through war! David had to fight with the Philippines to maintain peace! Gideon was commanded by God to use horns, jurs and torches with 300 soldiers to fight the Amelikites.
So, is it really true that God only wants us to pray and not arm ourselves and fight back? We need to re evaluate our belief and make good choices as the war we may think if far might soon be at our doorsteps. We may react when it is too little too late!
