An Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence court on Friday sentenced Feyi Daniels, the founder of iReign Christian Ministry, to life imprisonment for the rape and sexual assault of a female church member. The trial judge, Rahman Oshodi, found Daniels guilty of the charges and ordered him to spend the rest of his life at the Kirikiri custodial facility in Lagos.

The court heard testimonies from a 19-year-old church member and a 23-year-old pastor assistant, establishing the guilt of the Lagos-based cleric. Daniels, who took the witness stand in his defense, had claimed that three out of the four women who accused him of sexual assault conspired against him.

The judge, Rahman Oshodi, dismissed Daniels' defense, stating that he is a liar and does not have any regard for the truth. The sentencing marks a significant development in the case against the pastor, who faced accusations of sexual misconduct from multiple women associated with his church.
