Scientists all over the world are competing to become the best in different areas. This include the rush to sustainable production of food. Hunger is one thing most governments are working to reduce and through science, the world is no longer that hungry even though there are certain countries which need help in securing food production.
However am worried. Invetion of different ways to secure food production all the world might one day kill us all. The recent story of gene exchange in China for the production of eggs is a breathtaking but disturbing invention. It is alleged that they have transferred poultry genes to cows which in turn are now producing eggs at an alarming rate just to satisfy that need! Of course gene exchange is good and has worked in better production and quality, but cows producing poultry eggs??
Maybe they should have used animals of same species and familae but not cow! Am worried.
