The power of the son of God is limitless. As God,he shared the same divinity with God,his father. The father subjected the world to him. He made him the Lord and Master of all creation.
As the perfect man, for whom and by whom all things exist, the father made him the pioneer of our salvation and made him perfect through suffering. He suffered death and by so doing tasted death for all of us.
Through his suffering on the cross,the manifestation and revelation of his power were perfected. He brought that power into focus in today's gospel as he taught the people with authority and sent out unclean spirit from those who were possessed.
The obedience of the unclean spirit revealed him as the Messiah, the one to whom all authority in heaven and earth is subjected. Let us put ourselves under his Dominion. Only he can save us.
